Let’s quote 1John 2,6: ‘He that says he abide in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked’.
Now, we know that this walk with God is very difficult. We want it, but we don’t even try it. The devil succeed to separate the Christians and by this to rule over their lives, while Jesus has been given all the power in Heaven and on earth by overcoming the devil and we by Him! If the real disciples of Christ would search for God to be one in faith and life, than as result of this the words of Jesus should come to practice to love one another: ‘By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, if you have love one to another’ (John 13,35; 17,21)
But when Jesus gives us this command, than it is also possible to be one! For the worldly men it is impossible, but for Christ-like people it is more than possible to have love one to another! And when it is still to hard to grasp this, Jesus says to you in Revelations (i.e. in 3,21): ‘To him that overcome will I grant to sit with Me in My Throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His Throne’.
When Jesus came out of heaven from an equality with God to this world, in an equality with man, He became our perfect example in every respect. So when He says: You overcome as I overcame, He has provided for us to be able to be overcommers! When He says: Walk as I walk, He has provided it in His Person! He came as a man to this world, He lived as a man in this world, in total dependence upon the Father and the Holy Spirit for every thing that He did! Now, I want to ask you a question: Who was He, when He walked amongst us in this world? God? No, not God! He came to this world in the manifestation of God’s Holy Spirit.
Now I ‘ll gone drop a little bombshell on you Here. You know, everything that Jesus did, fit under the umbrella of the gifts of the Spirit. When He knew what the Pharisees were talking about, it was because there was a word of knowledge or revelation or wisdom, or something that was flowing through His life by the Holy Ghost.
Do we have access to all the gifts of the Spirit? Now, if you had the gifts of the Spirit resident in you, why than aren’t you living by these Gifts and walk holy without sin all the time? for instance you say, you have the gift of healing, why than isn't everybody healed that you pray for? The same with the miracles, why aren't miracles happening everywhere? You see, the Lord never said that we had these Gifts resident within us. He says we have the manifestation of the Spirit and is given to every man to provide to all! Perhaps you've got into the most difficult situations, when the Lord has revealed thing to you to benefit for yourself and others, but it all happens under the authority of God and by the manifestation of the Holy Spirit of God!
If you knew everything that there was on that moment when you spoke the word of knowledge or the word of wisdom, it was given to you from God for that occasion. God want you to be a channel through which all of the spirituals can manifest themselves as the need arises and as the occasion arises. Praise God! So, you don't go to somebody and say to somebody: oh dear sister, you need healing, but I've got the gift of tongs and I speak in tongs. Than she will probably say, -that’s good I can feel the blessing, but I need healing-. Well, than you say, -I know a brother that has the gift of healing, but he is in the USA for the next two months, so you have to be sick till he comes back to town-. Or, here you are in a counselling situation and you need the manifestation of knowledge and of wisdom and you must than say: -Well, I know somebody else who has the gift of wisdom, but they live in an other city, a thousand miles from here, you have to go and try to see them-. Is this Gods answer? No, if there is sickness, if there is a need of wisdom right now, we are to be a channel, you are to be a channel, you are to be a vessel through which the Holy Spirit can manifest Himself, because these gifts are given for the benefit of the Body of Christ and we all need to be channels through which they can manifest themselves as the need arise!
The whole problem is, so many are walking in and committing sin, and by this our eyes are so blocked, the channels are so blocked, that He can't flow, He can't manifest Himself through us. Can you imagine, one Body of Christ acknowledge each other in this Body: all men who live and work through faith in Christ, no more sinning in any case and leave everything in their life up to God. They take live as it comes because they believe that God will now protect them, lead them and bless them. And when the need of sickness arise, He takes it away automatically because they live with each other the Body of Christ and they acknowledge this Body in each other!
But God has said: You can walk as Jesus walked, live as Jesus lived, if you will put aside your own will and you will submit yourself wholly and totally unto the Father. Let the Father tell you what to do, Let the Holy Spirit empower you, so the life that you see is not your life, it is of Christ who is living in you. You have to say: I'm walking the walk of Christ! I'm thinking the thoughts of the Lord! I'm moving and I'm praying for the sick! If the Lord is healing through me, I must decrease, He must increase. I must be a Holy vessel through which the Holy Spirit can move and work and so forth and bless and win souls and do the work that He wants to do through the people of God.
But we say: -We are settled with this so called ‘carnal nature’. And we say: -‘For the good that I would I do not, but the evil which I would not that I do’; ‘Oh wretched man that I am!’ The evil that is present within me is stronger than the good in me. That’s such garbage for a Christian who says he’s in the Holy Spirit. That’s not what the Word of God has to say. The Bible says to you, that when you are born again you become a new creation; a new creator in Christ Jesus! All things are passed away, behold all things are become new. But here to the Romans, he is not talking about the man that's being at Damascus (Paul), it is not a post-Damascus experience that Paul had. Here, Paul is not talking about the man, that's been born again that can do which he would. Here, he's talking about the man that is still under the Law of sin. And the man under the Law of sin can’t do the things that he wants to do. He finds an evil that's present within him. But, thank God, there is an answer to this thing through Christ Jesus our Lord! And than when Christ Jesus comes in your life by Gods Holy Ghost, ‘there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit’. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus have made me free from the law of the spirit of sin and death’ in the flesh. And why does this happen? because they‘re searching to walk as Jesus walked, to think as Jesus thought, to speak as Jesus spoke! And, by the way, God made it happen to you, if you’re somebody that is seeking God. By this continuing act of faith God justifies you! Otherwise, Can you imagine Jesus saving you and leaving in you half a good nature and half a bad one? And the bad one is stronger than the good one? No, that is not what you read in the Word of God.
Somewhere, I read that we are a new creation! Somewhere I read that old things passes away! somewhere I read that greater is He that's in you, than he that’s in the world! But in Church, ministers tell the people that there is an evil within us that is greater than the good! And people have listened to this garbage. There comes a time that God has to give you a breakthrough into some of these areas. And God is giving you breakthroughs in your ministry if you will seek God in this. Seeking Him in the truths to set up a people as a Holy Nation for God, a Holy People, a peculiar People, a people that is going to rise up and not living in sin, but going to walk as Jesus walked and do the works of Jesus. To God be the Glory! Will you belong to this Holy People? Than you have to face the problem Jesus puts to you in your life: TO OVERCOME THIS WORLD in following Him in his ways to be able to overcome this world like He wants it!
You know what the word 'peculiar' means in the original Greek? It simply means 'a period, a dot' and that’s you now, that’s Gods People on the edge of Gods millennium, His peace kingdom of a thousand years! But there is something else to this people of God and that is: it is in a circle of Gods love and protection, and you're right in there, if you want to live the kind of life Jesus lived, than you are the peculiar People, than you are the object of His eye! Glory to God! And now there is no evil that can come to you anymore unless God allows it to form your life. He watches you and He cares for you; you are the apple of His eye, you are the peculiar People, a Holy People, a new Generation of believers to walk after! And you will walk in the Ways of the Almighty God (See our newsletters).
You see, the provisions of God for us are for what we really are: a trichotomy in spirit, soul and body. However, the world will tell you that we are just a dichotomy, that we are a two-part being. But the Bible says that we are going to be presented unto Him, without spot or blemish and be blameless, in spirit and soul and body!
The whole problem with the world and the educational system of the world is, that they do not deal with man as a tri-part being. They fail to recognise that man is three parts, and so they look upon him as a dichotomy; that he is only a physical and sociological being. Now, the most important part of man is the spirit-being, and unless you understand the spiritual being of man, the other things do not fall into place.
Paul talks about having the mind of the Spirit of God, because he says to the Romans in 12,2 ‘be ye transformed (reformed!?) by the renewing of your mind’ (this is your thinking!), and therefore he says to the Ephesians in 1,17b ‘to receive the Spirit of wisdom and revelation of Him to enlighten your understanding (this is with your mind by His Spirit!). That’s why he says at last: ‘be renewed in the spirit of your mind’ (Ephesians 4:23). Your mind has a spirit and the enemy communicates with the spirit of your mind. The Lord communicates with the spirit of your mind which effects than your emotions and than your will. Than you will put your will in operation for good or for bad, depended whether you are carnally minded or spiritually minded.
You can think all thing over that are put into your spirit. But mostly your mind is under control of your emotions and this set your will in fire! But God says: ‘He who believes does not hurry’, he thinks it over before acting!
Now, you do not have to have a carnal mind! The temptation that came to Eve was not from within, it came from without to her hearing, to her senses and the temptations that come to you is not because of a carnal nature you've got, but because of the enemy that tries to come in through the spirit of your mind and if you put on the new man with the whole holy armour of God you can quench with that shield any temptation and every, every dark, that the enemy tries to put into you.
Well this is in brief what the Lord our God want us to say to you…. Therefore we believe that it will produce fruit for the Church of Christ that will be prepared for the coming Rapture! Blessed be the Lord our God!
‘...that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness’ (Ephesians 4:24).
