Without any doubt, You have heard once of ‘Jonah in the wale’! Isn't this so, here follows the history: In 1891 there was a sailor of who the fishing-boat capsized, and by which the sailor fell in the water. Probably it was a cachalot, a big wale, the cause of capsizing of the boat for this wale swallowed him! Nobody would be aware of this happening as the animal wasn't harpooned the next day.
When the fish was cut open (see photo's), the sailor came out alive out of the stomach of the wale! This same story we find with Jonah in the Bible and for scientist it is still a mystery how people can stay alive in a cachalot, actually no fish but a mammal of the sea! Most probably the fish will fill itself with oxygen-air as counter-pressure before it will dive to 1 till 3 km deep, causing the possibility that a human can survive in this fish. Jonah was in it for three days before spit out on the beach. |
